Limon Dance Company  2002-2017  

As a member of the Limón Company, I participated in national and international touring, teaching at annual summer workshops, offering masterclasses, participating in lecture demonstrations and educational outreach, and cultural diplomacy in Africa through Dancemotion USA.  I was a faculty member of Limón4kids, and was a part of the team that trained and established a Limón4kids program in Mexico City.

Cellist

Kathryn Alter choreographs regularly as a guest at universities and conservatories and with her pickup company, Kathryn Alter and Dancers. She is currently a visiting Fulbright Garcia Robles Scholar in Mexico. In the past five years she was the Program Director of the José Limón Dance Foundation’s Professional Training Program in addition to working as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Marymount Manhattan College and Hofstra University in New York. Alter was a dancer in the Limón Company for fifteen years and reconstructs the works of José Limón around the world.
